Scarborough is home to many things – The Rotunda Museum, Donkey rides, Scarborough Castle, Peasholm Park, Sea Life Sanctuary, Mini Monsterz, plus much more. Travel a little out of Scarborough, and there are great family days out to be had at Dalby Forest and Go Ape.
But what about when you just want to relax, let off some steam, and watch the world go by?
For that, there’s the North Cliff Golf Club.
Located just around the corner from Park Manor Hotel, the North Cliff Golf Club is the perfect place to unwind or start your day.
Designed by James Braid and established in 1928 (with a history dating back to 1909), the Scarborough North Cliff Golf Club is a stunning playing field for all levels of golfer. The course starts on the cliff top and then moves inland. It threads through trees and bush growth, before slowly heading back to the cliff top, where the 13th, 14th, and 15th holes will be played.
The course is not particularly hilly, but it can get a bit windy. This makes it not ideal for amateurs but perfect for intermediate golfers and experienced golfers. The green areas are well kept and on a bright summers day, the golf course is actually rather beautiful. On the 25th of July this year there will be a 4 Ball Betterball Strokeplay open day.
If you live close to Scarborough and enjoy golf, we recommend considering membership to the Scarborough North Cliff Golf Club. There are membership levels to suit anybody – there is a full ladies or gents membership, junior membership, apprentice membership, country membership, and social member membership. The clubhouse has its own bar and dance floor and these are available free of charge for private functions such as birthday parties.
Above all else, though, this is a great golf course.
